The city of Carlsbad offices will be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day.
Refuse collection
There will be refuse collection for commercial and residential routes scheduled for Friday only Nov. 11. Regular service will resume Saturday. Sandpoint Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The Convenience station at 302 E. Plaza will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mag Court closure

Honoring veterans

Veterans Day Parade

Play performances
Carlsbad Community Theater will perform the comedy “Bell, Book and Candle” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Nov. 18 and 19 and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Season tickets are still available at the box office on play dates. Single advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at Candlewood, ‘Round the Corner, Old Pecos Gallery, Blue House, Shade Tree and Kristina’s Custom Frames.
Caverns fee waived
The $6 entry fee will be waived Friday through Sunday at Carlsbad Caverns National Parks in honor of Veterans Day. Ranger-guided tour fees will still be charged.
Hydrogen fuel class
